ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

Ages

          • In single dances and multi-dance championships students may dance their age, and challenge age group lower

Closed Categories (Bronze, Silver & Gold)

          • The NDCA syllabus is used for all closed categories

          • A student may only enter two dance levels.  Example:  If you are entered in bronze, you may dance all bronze and silver levels but may not enter gold or gold star

DCT Newcomer Scholarships

          • Dancer’s Cup Tour Newcomer Scholarships are designed for students who have NEVER competed before.

          • Students are welcome to enter and compete in the DCT Newcomer Scholarships for ONE YEAR after their first competition.

Pro/Am Scholarships

          • The organizer reserves the right to cut the prize money in half should there be less then 6 participants in any scholarships

            Closed Scholarships

              • To qualify for these events, the student must dance the same dances, levels and ages in single dance events (bronze & silver) for each scholarship entered. For example, if your student enters both the closed bronze American Smooth scholarship and the closed bronze MIB Tour Scholarship they must enter in 6 single dance events.

              • These events are closed bronze or silver level material

              • A student may enter only in the highest level of their single dances. A student is permitted to enter multiple age categories.

              • Prize money will be halved for Scholarship Events that are uncontested

          • Open Scholarships

              • These events are open to all. To enter you must dance the same number of single dance events for each scholarship entered. For example, if your student enters the open rhythm Scholarship and the open rhythm MIB Tour scholarship they must enter in 10 single dance events.

              • Prize money will be halved for Scholarship Events that are uncontested

Juvenile & Pre-Teen Clothing Restrictions

          • Juvenile and Pre-Teen (11 & under) competitors are restricted in their costuming as per the NDCA rule book.  For more information, please visit www.NDCA.org

Cancellation Policy

          • Cancellations received after July 20th will be subject to a $200 administration fee

          • Refunds for DANCE ENTRY FEES ONLY will given for cancellations received after July 27th. Refunds or credits for packages will not be offered.

          • No refunds or credits will be given for any cancellations for any reason after August 3rd
